Acceptance into the workshops will be determined by the availability of workshops and the online registration date / postmark date of mail-ins. Registration opened on Jan 5th.
Full Registration
Full Registration includes Meet the Artist Reception on Thursday afternoon, a Vendor Reception on Thursday night, access to lectures, demonstrations and observation at all workshops. It also includes Buffet Dinner on Friday night and Saturday Banquet with Silent and Live auctions. Registrants must submit Meal Options as well as the signed Waiver Form at registration.
Registering on-line is a new feature for us. While you may download, print, fill-out and mail in the paper registration form, because workshops are filled on a first come/first served basis, we recommend that you avail yourself of the on-line process to avoid delays by the postal service. On-line registration is currently open and will be closed Thursday morning, June 10, 2021. Registrations after that date are more than welcome, but must be made at the Registration Desk.
Daily Registration
Daily registration is available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It allows access to lectures, demonstrations and observation at all workshops for that day. Meals are not included. Workshop observers are required to return a signed waiver format at registration.
Workshops
Aluminum wire is provided for all workshops. Workshop participants must bring their own bonsai tools, carving tools, power equipment, safety equipment, turntable, copper wire (if preferred), and other supplies for styling your trees.
Expect your workshop to begin “ON TIME”. Viewing of material provided workshops begins 15 minutes prior to the workshop, random number selection 10 minutes and the selection of material based on random number will begin 5 minutes prior to the workshop, allowing 1 minute per person for selection. Anyone late will pick after the others.
Workshops will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Entry date for workshop will be determined from postmark or from date of online registration. Confirmation of workshops will be sent by email. Any fully registered participants who are accepted for a workshop and later cancel any part of their full registration will forfeit their places in the workshop. Workshop participants and observers are required to return a signed waiver format at registration.
Critiques
Artist critiques will be on the top 15 trees that the participants vote on. There is a good chance you can have your tree included in this event. Voting will be held prior to start time at registration desk. Participants are required to return a signed waiver form at registration.
Refunds
Registration fees if cancelled will be refunded up until May 25th, 2022. After May 25th, 2022, 50% of registration fees will be refunded. Workshop reservation fee if cancelled before May 25th, 2022, and the place cannot be filled, only up to 50% of the deposit may be returned. If the reservation is cancelled after May 25th, 2022, and the place cannot be filled, no refund will be made.
